Alexa Diaz, LCSW
I am a compassionate Clinical Social Worker with over 7 years of experience specializing in individual and group therapy for diverse populations. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can achieve meaningful growth and healing.
Training, Experience & Approach
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Aurora University, with a specialization in School Social Work and Health Care.
With a passion for working with children, adolescents, and young adults, I help clients navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem issues, academic and social /emotional challenges and more. In addition to my private practice, I work in a high school setting, where I continue to gain extensive experience supporting teens with a wide range of diagnoses and disabilities, including anxiety, depression, autism, bipolar disorder, and mood disorders.
I take a collaborative approach to therapy, tailoring interventions to meet each client's unique needs. My therapeutic toolkit includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and art therapy to help clients build coping skills and develop resilience.
